ทองหทัยแฝงนัยะคุณลักษณะเด่นของชาวไทยเรา ที่มีความแกร่งและมุ่งมีใจอาสาตามรอยหลักปรัชญาเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง ปฎิบัติการเกษตรทฤษฎีใหม่ตั้งแต่ปี 2555 โดยทำด้วยใจที่อาสาและทำตามกำลัง ไม่หวือหวา ไม่ฟุ้งเฟ้อ ก่อให้เกิดการพึ่งตนเอง มุ่งพิทักษ์ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและความเป็นแผ่นดินไทยแผ่นดินทอง
Thonghathai (THT) (ทองหทัย) means ‘heart of gold’ which reflects the mission to voluntary advocate the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy. Thonghathai Learning Center (ไร่ทองหทัย) also has been taking an official role of Chaam District’s Agricultural Productivity Learning Center since year 2015, according to the government policy to be a hub and to strengthen the cooperation among related public units and local farmers.
Prior to taking this official role, Thonghathai has been laying the foundations by Major General Sompong Bhrammanee and Dr.Thadthong Bhrammanee in 2012 to apply the New Theory concept of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej as well as organic farming. Many communities also use this area as a living laboratory in farming. Warm supports from variety of networks are highly valuable to key operations here; substantial practices include:
Take good care of soil, water, and forest issues.
Apply agricultural technology.
Be organic. Prepare proper production supply and bio fertilizer.
Manage farm diversity and heterogeneous production. Run: 1) Plant 2) Herb 3) Livestock 4) Fishery 5) Product processing and 6) Agritourism
Conduct marketing and farm shop.
Selecting high value local product to be focused.

Integrated farming that applies no chemical substance is the way of smallholder farmers towards sustainable and sufficiency living. The “New Theory of Agriculture” introduced by His Majesty King Bhumibol of Thailand makes the land management comes into practice for Thai household as such apporach well suites small area farming. Thonghathai promotes the maintenance of the ecosystem, and preserves Thai ways like warm family ties, merit-making, and sharing of resources. It received an Outstanding Community Service award from Mahidol University International Collage, Thailand; Thonghathai practice also honored to receive the Do-gooder: Sustainable Agriculture award from Phetchaburi province.

โครงการทองหทัยศรัทธาว่า การเกษตรแบบผสมผสานในรูปแบบเกษตรอินทรีย์ เป็นแนวทางนำพาความพอเพียงและยั่งยืนแก่เกษตรกรรายย่อย โดยมีหลักปฎิบัติ “เกษตรทฤษฎีใหม่” ตามแนวพระราชดำริของพระบาทสมเด็จพระบรมชนกาธิเบศร มหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดชมหาราช บรมนาถบพิตร รัชกาลที่ 9 เป็นหลักนำทาง เน้นการจัดการที่ดินในครัวเรือนไทยโดยเฉพาะในพื้นที่เพาะปลูกขนาดเล็ก แนวทางนี้ไม่เพียงแต่ตอบโจทย์ชีวิตเกษตรกร แต่ยังสะท้อนถึงความใส่ใจต่อธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม
ศูนย์เรียนรู้ทองหทัยทุ่มเทสนับสนุนการอนุรักษ์ระบบนิเวศ พร้อมสืบทอดคุณค่าแบบไทยที่งดงาม ไม่ว่าจะเป็นสายสัมพันธ์ของกลุ่มคน การทำบุญเพื่อจิตใจที่งดงาม และการแบ่งปันทรัพยากรในชุมชน ทองหทัยยังได้รับรางวัลดีเด่น “บริการชุมชนดีเด่น” จากวิทยาลัยนานาชาติ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล และ ผู้ทำความดีแก่จังหวัด ด้าน “เกษตรกรรมยั่งยืน” จากจังหวัดเพชรบุรี
